Bike lane needs to re painted and more signs added. It is a safety issue pedestrains are completley un aware of bikes. Maybe 3 signs in the whol park. South west side hedges need to better maintained. Volley ball court can be cleaned better

Great park for friends and family. I did changed to 3 from 5 due to fees for Splash Pad. $4 for the child and $4 for adult supervising. I attached Bloomington Switchyard Park Complete with B-line trail and Splash Pad FREE to the community. We also have Karst Park with Splash Pad FREE to the community.

Wicker Park is an excellent destination for jogging and walking, and it has quickly become one of my favorite places. What I appreciate most is the vibrant mix of cultures and the diverse age range of visitors. The park is spacious and welcoming, creating a comfortable atmosphere, even if it doesn’t have the ornate features of some nearby parks. The facilities are top-notch, with golf available, clean bathrooms, and plenty of picnic areas for rent. An outdoor gym near the volleyball section adds to its appeal. Families will enjoy the children's playground, and in the summer, there’s a delightful mini water park for kids. The dog park section is a fantastic bonus for pet owners. What I love most about Wicker Park is that, unlike the nearby park in Munster, IN, there are no parking meters to profit off visitors. This makes the park feel more inviting and less focused on making money or excluding certain people. Additionally, Wicker Park hosts a variety of seasonal events, from car shows to movies in the park and community gatherings, making it a lively hub for everyone. Overall, it’s a wonderful place to relax and engage in various activities, and I highly recommend visiting!

My kids and I were visiting the park when a pit bull owner had their dog near the playground, despite clear “no dogs” signs. He was growling at the kids! I called it in, and the Wicker Memorial Park staff responded quickly to ensure everyone’s safety. That’s exactly the kind of professionalism that deserves recognition, thank you!

This is such a great park for kids (and teens) of all ages. My nephew is four and he absolutely loves running around getting out all that extra toddler energy. There's even a trail that goes around the park and an outdoor gym for teens to enjoy.
